Ancient Greece
This article/link refers to one of the AP themes, Geography is destiny. It talks about the ancient cities of Athens and Sparta and talks a little bit about what they were famous for and how there geogrphy shaped what they are now. Like Sparta it is said that the paths leading into the area could easily be defended so until the 4th century B.C. it never had walls to defend it. I found it very interesting that one of the strongest military mights in the world had no walls to defend itself with, but I guess when someone can protect it so easily you don't need one. http://www.ancientgreece.com/s/Geography/

Welcome!!
Hello,
I enjoy history because I find it interesting everything about it, like how civilizations adapted to new lifestyles and how cultures developed new technologies. I enjoy playing baseball and hanging out with my friends. I also love to learn about World War's 1 and 2 and the technologies that came out of war and the politics that went into it. I also enjoy playing football and basketball. I haven't been to many places some are Florida, Arizona, and Rhode Island. We might go to Sweden this summer. "Geography is Destiny."
